Extended Metaphor Poem, Two Caves Diverged

Two Caves Diverged (A Two Roads Diverged Parody)

Two caves, diverged in the sea,
Dismal, I could not swim through both,
Both filled with wonder and adventure,
I glared down one to as far as I could see
Still, my choice awaits.

But, I choose the other one, Perhaps naive,
Because it seemed more adventure lurked there,
I thought I would be astonished by my new finds,
Really though, they seemed just the same.

Then forth I swam into the cave,
Water glistening around me,
I thought to myself was my choice right
I guess I will never know,
Then I wonder, will I come back?

Two caved diverged in the sea

I am saying this sorrowfully,
for that sometimes I regret my choice,
I think that when future generations come to this choice,
They will feel the same,
And that has made all the difference.
