Book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Author: J.K. Rowling

Pages read: 0-607 (Finished)

In my book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, there are many themes. One of the themes is persistence. I think this because Harry had to do a lot of hard things where he could have given up, but he was persistent and kept trying. Harry Potter never gave up no matter how hard things got. I think the author was trying to express that if you are persistent, you can accomplish what ever you want as long as you try.

Another theme in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is sacrifice. I think this for many reasons. First, in order to make change, Harry had to sacrifice many things. If he didn't make any sacrifices, Harry would not be able to accomplish what he wanted, and make the world a better place. I think the reason J.K. Rowling had Harry Potter make some sacrifices was to show how it relates to real life, because people need to make sacrifices everyday to achieve what they want.

The last theme in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is friendship. The reason I think this is because Harry would be nowhere without his friends. Friendship helped Harry be able to get through many troubles that happened throughout the book, and the rest of the series. Harry's friends all had to work together so they get what they wanted, which made their friendship closer. I think that J.K. Rowling included this theme because it can really relate to many people in real life. You need friendship to keep you going, without friends, life would be really hard.
